Recently, foreign media have unveiled a set of unclad spy photos of the new Porsche Taycan. As stated by these sources, the new vehicle will be introduced as a mid-term updated version for the Taycan series, featuring noticeable changes in its design. Additionally, a high-performance variant with a GT suffix is expected to be launched which will possibly be equipped with a four-wheel-drive system comprising three drive motors, with the maximum power expected to surpass 1000 horsepower.
As observed in the recently exposed testing spy photos, the new Porsche Taycan in the test phase is already unclad, providing numerous details. The new vehicle's headlight cluster employs a brand-new design which is somewhat akin to the Porsche Macan EV. Compared to the current model, the size of the headlight cluster is slightly reduced, with substantial changes seen within the internal structure. Moreover, a more sporty-style front bumper has been used.
From the side view, the new Taycan continues to deploy smooth body lines and a four-door layout with a comparatively smaller ground clearance. Peering through the car window, one notices the installation of a roll cage, hinting that the test vehicle could be equipped with a Sport Club package which is typically offered as an optional configuration.
The test vehicle is seen with an aerodynamics-designed rear bumper which is likely a component of the sports kit. Other fine details of the rear bumper align well with the current model. A large fixed spoiler on the boot lid seems to match the traits of the "GT", as mentioned by foreign media. At this stage, Porsche has not disclosed further information about the high-performance version of the new Taycan. More updates on the new vehicle will follow.
